Last weekend, our entire team gathered at the beautiful Gorski Hotel on Kopaonik to celebrate this milestone – and what a celebration it was!
A Team Getaway in the Heart of Serbia’s Mountains
There’s something magical about stepping away from the daily hustle and reconnecting as a team in nature’s embrace. Kopaonik, with its pristine mountain air and stunning landscapes, provided the perfect backdrop for our 13th anniversary celebration.
Day One: Arrival and Mountain Adventures
Our journey began with scenic mountain walks that reminded us why we fell in love with travel in the first place. The crisp mountain air, the sound of rustling leaves, and the breathtaking views of Kopaonik’s peaks created an instant sense of peace and renewal.
Lunch was a true taste of local Serbia – authentic ćevapi that had everyone asking for seconds (and thirds!). There’s nothing quite like sharing a traditional meal with your work family while surrounded by the beauty of the Serbian mountains.
The afternoon brought pure relaxation at Gorski Hotel’s exceptional spa facilities. Our team enjoyed the indoor pools, complete with a spa bar overlooking Kopaonik’s majestic peaks. The real treat was exploring the unique sauna world featuring:
- Russian sauna for that authentic steam experience
- Pine sauna with its therapeutic forest aromas
- Finnish sauna for the ultimate heat therapy
- Salt room for respiratory wellness
- Steam bath and ice fountain for the brave souls
- Cold Kambala shower that definitely woke everyone up!
- Experience path and tepidarium for complete relaxation
Evening Celebrations: Reflecting on Our Journey
As evening approached, we gathered for a celebration dinner that showcased the best of local cuisine. The variety of meats, fresh salads, and decadent desserts created the perfect atmosphere for storytelling and laughter.
Later, relaxing in the hotel lobby with drinks in hand, we found ourselves reminiscing about our incredible journey. We shared stories from our business trips to Turkey and Bosnia, laughed about the unexpected adventures with our partners, and marveled at how far we’ve come as a team.
Day Two: Mountain Views and Local Flavors
The next morning started with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a hike to a nearby mountain café. The view from this elevated terrace was nothing short of spectacular – a “sea” of green trees stretching endlessly across the Kopaonik landscape. It was one of those moments that reminds you why travel feeds the soul.
Our final stop was the renowned Kljunac restaurant, where we were treated like family. The veal and lamb dishes were exceptional, and thanks to our friendship with the owner, we enjoyed complimentary blueberry pie and took home authentic Serbian products – rakija, ajvar, slatko, and homemade jams that will remind us of this special weekend for months to come.
